Forever Plaid was Encore's inaugural production, which opened in January 2017 at the Kimball Street Theatre.  Enthusastic audiences came out to support the show and its highly talented cast. Terry Christianson (Jinx), Karl Knutson (Frankie), David Pfenninger (Sparky), John Perry (Smudge), and Quin Falk (understudy) delighted audiences so much that Encore was invited to preform Forever Plaid again in July of 2017 at the Right Center Left Theater company in Crystal Lake. This same fantastic group of actors reprised their roles and came together to share the story of the Plaids.

In September of 2017, Encore Theatre Productions collaborated with the Norris Cultural Arts Center's and preformed Forever Plaid at their 40th Anniversary celebration and benefit . Terry Christianson (Jinx), David Pfenninger (Sparky), and John Perry (Smudge) were joined by Tony Calzaretta (Frankie) to once again delight audiences as the Plaids.
